This weekend is Chetek's 1st Annual Winter Carnival.  Our Chamber of Commerce is trying to promote some additional tourist activities in Chetek and I think this is a great start. 

The Carnival will be taking place at the Beach Pavilion and starts on Friday night with a bon fire and band.  Saturday has events like a x-country ski race, snowmobile rodeo and softball tournament on the ice.  In addition, Gilligan's is hosting a ski plane fly in starting at 11am. They are going to open up the Tiki Bar and patio with drinks and BBQ chicken.
