This beautiful area of Wisconsin is filled with lakes, rivers, woods and recreation. The Chetek Chain of Lakes is made up of six lakes with over 3,800 acres of recreational fun for everyone. We have fishing, swimming, waterskiing and boating in the summer. The winter offers snowmobiling, ice fishing, snow skiing, etc.  The lakes are home to many species of fish including crappies, bluegills, perch, bass, northerns and walleyes.  The lakes are stocked each year with thousands of walley fingerlings, courtesy of the DNR and our local Lake Protection Association.  There are twelve public boat landings, numerous public fishing areas, a public
beach, three waterfront restaurants and
several resorts on the Six Lake Chain. 

The Blue Diamond Vacation Area is host to many crystal clear lakes, rivers and streams, thousands of acres of public forests, hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails, cross country trails, snow shoe trails and hiking trails.  Some of the lakes include Potato, Island, Chain, McCann, Clear, Amacoy, Round, Long, Holcombe, Pine, Sand, Axhandle, as well as many others.  The lakes are teaming with many different types of fish including, muskies, walleye, northern, bass and pan fish.  The area is also one of Wisconsin's premier hunting areas for all types of wildlife.

Chetek and the Blue Diamond Vacation Area are conveniently located 45 minutes north of Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls and only two hours east of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
